Let love come in its own shape and size,
Let it have its unique design.
For it has to be all true and real,
Not the one who shows up once a year.
Let love have its own past,
Don’t worry if you didn’t meet them fast.
For love has to be your soul mate,
Not the one who is just easy to date.
Let love have their own space,
Don’t worry it won’t hinder your pace.
For love may not always feel like a vacation,
But certainly, it’s not a suffocation.
And most importantly.
Let love come when it arrives,
Let love leave if it strives.
For it has to remind you of happier times,
Not of pain, regret and vice.
That’s such a practical advice!
Modern advice, for modern day love 🙂
This is so well written and applicable to the present.
That line “Let love come, when it arrives” is ME.
Beautiful poetry
